Six women from different walks of life participated in a Creators of Peace Workshop 30 August to 1 September 2013.

On 28 April, right after the Tools for Change 2013 Conference, a number of us who had shown interest, had the great pleasure of attending a workshop on facilitation skills conducted by Shoshana Faire at Dignity International in Petaling Jaya.

The 2013 Tools for Change Conference was finally upon us after months of preparation. The conference took place from 24 - 27 April 2013, and what enriching days they were for all of us with a presence of 70 people from 13 countries. This was the fifth time it was being held here in Kuala Lumpur and despite the considerable time in the preparations, the experience gained from the past four conferences showed positively. The arrangements being made by the organizing committee went as clockwork thanks to the committee having excellent teamwork.

On 29 April, we had a casual social gathering amongst ladies to share experiences and connect once again as Creators of Peace. This gathering was organized by Regina Morris and Tia Nair together with Shoshana Faire who helped facilitate the session at Tia and Haridas Nair’s place.

In 2009, Tools for Change (T4C) International was organized outside Switzerland for the first time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Subsequently this has been a yearly event with excellent feedback. The fourth T4C Kuala Lumpur was held on the 22—25 March 2012.

In 2009 some of us from Malaysia were privileged to attend this occasion in Switzerland. We experienced the benefits and decided to replicate these sessions with permission from T4C in Kuala Lumpur. Due to the positive response to the occasions in 2009 we did the second session in 2010 and will be holding the third in the T4C KL series in 2011.

As an offshoot of our engagement in this year’s Initiatives of Change (IofC) "Tools for Change KL 2010" conference that was held in early March, we decided to take a closer look at how we can create a compassionate society.

Action for Life has reached the sunny shores of Malaysia. After a brief pause at Port Dickson, the team was generously hosted in local families in Petaling Jaya.
